The panoramic windows offer a view out onto the Jungfernsee, the summery landscape and the Prussian castles. Inside, Beate Gütschow’s photo prints of romantic nature sceneries decorate the walls. Following the example of classical paintings, she constructs various landscape cut-outs using Photoshop. The pieces look so real, they make you do a double take. Twelve other international artists, among them Thomas Demand and Jeremy Deller, also balance the border between reality and illusion in their work. Come dive into the realm of artistic uncertainty. Speaking of diving – lakes Heiliger See, Wannsee and Tiefer See are just around the corner. (Text: Laura Storfner / Photos outside: Noshe; inside: Clemens Porikys)
