At Einklang, you’ll find anything the seasonal vegetable and fruit calender has to offer in a variety of forms; jams and syrups such as sandthorn-apple, plum-ginger or blue elderberry liquor, different chutneys, and a wide range of pestos. Besides the classic ones, Einklang offers seasonal variations, i.e. the pumpkin seed pesto, and the cheese used in their pesto contains non-animal based rennet (synthetic) that are suitable for consumption by strict vegetarians. But everything else here is all natural; the ingredients are not only regional but mostly hand-picked and are made sans preservatives. In his little bistro/shop, Sven Zyschka offers daily lunch selections too – big healthy meals for a reasonable price! If you can’t make it there, some items can be found at local organic stores such as “Biosphäre” in Weserstrasse in Neukölln or you may order them online (don’t bother checking the organic supermarket chains) All in all a great place to eat, visit, or shop for syrups that make perfect winter drinks. I hope they’ll open up a new branch in my neighborhood soon.
