EQUIPE BERLIN X FRIENDS POP-UP: THREE BRANDS TEAM UP FOR INNOVATIVE SLOW FASHION EVENT

EQUIPE BERLIN X FRIENDS POP-UP: THREE BRANDS TEAM UP FOR INNOVATIVE SLOW FASHION EVENT

There’s nothing quite like a spring clean. But what if our consumption choices prevented us from ever needing one in the first place? Enter Equipe Berlin, the project for sustainable yet stylish fashion pieces. Formed by three Berlin-based sustainable fashion labels – Kuvert BerlinManakaa Project and Pugnat – the collective is hosting a pop-up event this week (05.-07.05.2022) where you can browse and buy a range of “slow luxury” garments. The three labels blend design and innovative cuts while maintaining functionality and timelessness via simple tones. How about an ivory-hued blouse from Manakaa Project in “non-violent” organic silk or a sweatshirt with handmade embroidery made from ecological textiles? For a handy pullover to keep the chill off your shoulders, the super soft cashmere knits from Pugnat will feel like cloud nine; carry it in a canvas shopper by Kuvert Berlin.

The pop-up doesn’t just feature the brands’ own designs, though. For each event, Equipe Berlin teams up with a designer to celebrate local talent and innovation and fuel community spirit. This week, you can look forward to Wanda Wasabi, a fashion brand founded by Berliner Anne Wolf and Miki Kawai from Japan. The pair craft garments by repurposing vintage Japanese kimonos, giving old threads new life. This week’s event is the first of a series of pop-ups, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for future gatherings where you’ll find more sustainable finds from bright fashion minds.
