It’s that time again! Berlin Fashion Week AW23 (16.01.-21.01.2023) is just around the corner, and a total of 18 fashion labels will be showcasing their designs all over the city. And in addition to runway shows by already-established names, such as Bobkova, SF1OG, and Kilian Kerner, there will be an exciting mix of newcomers, veterans, and emerging talents. The focus of this fashion week is clearly on sustainability, the future, and diversity. The Berlin Metaverse, an online space, offers the opportunity to explore the styles of Fashion Week, along with NFT galleries, digital fashion, and much more. With daily new content and live streams of some shows, you can keep up to date even from home. Once again this year, 202030 – The Berlin Fashion Summit (Jan. 18 & 19, 2023) invites attendees to participate in various panels and presentations and to connect with like-minded people at a workshop the day after, for example. In addition to 202030, the 20th anniversary of the Premium Group will take place at Messe Berlin. It will include Premium‘s Trade Show for advanced Contemporary Fashion and Seek‘s stage, where brands and designers with a focus on sustainability come together. Be sure to catch the highlights of Berlin Fashion Week, the Berlin Salon, which since 2015 has spotlighted an exclusive selection of innovative and inspiring talents from the German design and fashion industry. This year’s participants include the sustainable fashion label Avenir and the German-Japanese brand Susumu Ai.
Are you interested in the creative process of design? Then the event “Diverse it! – A Trialogue of Fashion” is right up your alley. Within the framework of Berlin Contemporary, five young up-and-coming talents will create and present fresh looks at Platte.Berlin (17.01.-21.01.) in collaboration with five other designers. But it’s not only the official Fashion Week events that are worth popping by. Catch cool pop-ups like the one by Wardrobe Affair (16.-21.01.) on Ku’damm, where you can put together your dream outfit for Fashion Week – and rent it, too.
