WHITE LABEL PROJECT: THE POP-UP FOR DESIGNS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE

WHITE LABEL PROJECT: THE POP-UP FOR DESIGNS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Brands are always making claims about their sustainability, yet it never seems easy to find truly fairtrade and environmentally friendly products. White Label Project – initiated by Ann-Kathrin Zotz and Caroline Foerster – is about to change that. The pair, a former UN worker and a brand manager, have joined forces to create an online shopping platform for sustainable fashion and design. White Label collaborates with creatives from across the Global South, from Mexico to Ghana, to create a range of products that combine traditional craftsmanship with local knowhow and great attention to detail. Creatives like Pichulik, who design elegant jewellery handmade in Cape Town, and Manava, a Cambodian-based maker of pretty rattan baskets. Curious? Then check out White Label’s pop-up at Gemini Berlin this weekend (22.-24.11.) for a first glimpse at the collection. Shopping for pretty fashion and home accessories while supporting a really good cause? Count us in! (Text: Hanna Komornitzyk / Photos: White Label)
