VIA FILM AND FOOD, CLAM CLUB SHINES THE SPOTLIGHT ON WOMEN

One film, multiple courses and myriad new connections brought together from a feminist perspective: Founded by Kathrin Kuna in November 2017, Clam Club has been turning the spotlight on women who are working wonders in the film and food industries in Berlin and beyond. All genders are invited to experience an evening of inspiration, exchange and delicious food: the 6th round of which takes place next Saturday (10.11) at Pahr. In focus (and in conversation) this round are the multi-talented Leila El-Kayem, whose second short film, “Don’t Trust the Border”, will be screened — along with a dance performance by Jessica Nupen, whose choreography the film reinterprets. Taking care of the food will be Joyce Hermlin, a Kenyan-born chef takes inspiration from her grandmother’s farm in her cooking. If previous editions are anything to go by, this is one evening you won’t want to miss. Round up your friends and secure your tickets here. (Text: Anna Dorothea Ker / Photos: Luke Marshall Johnson)
