What if decorating your apartment for the festive season could double as investing in practical, beautiful objects you can use all year around? This is the idea at Granit this December. The considered homeware brand — which has slowly but steadily been expanding south since being founded in Stockholm in 1997 — abides by the principle of aesthetic function. In the words of Granit’s Europe and Franchise Manager, Katarina Grapengiesser, “we always strive to see the functionality in something and are super happy if we find a dual purpose. Our range should not only be super practical, but add aesthetic value. We are neutral in both our materials and our colors, which makes allows objects fit in all kinds of homes.” Following locations in Mitte, Charlottenburg, and recently, the new East Side Mall, Schönebergers are the latest Berlin denizens to be graced with a convenient Granit outpost.
