Grab your skateboard and brush up on your technique this weekend; we’re headed to Berlin’s newest pop-up skatepark to compete in the best trick competition. But maybe your skate skills are a little too rusty, and you’d rather watch from the sidelines alongside street art, local skate brands, and free concerts. This weekend, House of Vans, Mecca for skate culture stalwarts, will host their biggest event to date in Berlin: a three-day celebration of our boundless creative scene. Hear live music from alt rock to rap to indie from Octavian and Nothing But Thieves amongst the eleven musicians and DJs performing. Go under the gun for a flash tattoo by Max Ludwig or browse the community market for labels like Shanghai Tofu and Champagne Towers. Art on display ranges from contemporary graffitists to vintage rave posters from the ’90s, chronicling skate culture in Germany.
