NEW IN THE WEST: HIGH-END BURGERS AT THE BUTCHER

NEW IN THE WEST: HIGH-END BURGERS AT THE BUTCHER

Not far from Savignyplatz, in the middle of busy Kantstrasse, you’ll find the latest addition to Berlin’s burger scene, The Butcher. Although there is no shortage of burgers in this city, Berliners never seem to grow tired of them – and this time, they’re definitely right to keep coming back. This is more than just a burger joint: the light-filled, industrial interior speaks to that. This concept – a high-end burger restaurant – comes from Amsterdam. Definitely recommendable: the burger with Aberdeen Angus beef, babaganoush, tahini and oriental spices with crispy chicken wings or Mama’s Meatball Sliders. There are meatless alternatives but in terms of burgers The Butcher really is the domain of meat lovers; the high-quality, certified-organic meat will keep even the most discerning palates satisfied. The drinks at the bar also come highly recommended. The breakfast menu with poached eggs with avocado, watercress and sourdough bread or shakshuka also offers plenty of vegetarian options.
