IMAGEMOVEMENT: A PLACE FOR ARTIST FILMS AND FILM ART

IMAGEMOVEMENT: A PLACE FOR ARTIST FILMS AND FILM ART

At ImageMovement, Sprüth Magers’ little brother, you’ll encounter works by Fischli & Weiss, Luis Buñuel and John Baldessari. The interior space was designed by artists Rosemarie Trockel and Thea Djordjadze, and the concept is set between film and art. You can browse limited artists’ films and documentaries, find inspiration for cold February nights or attend one of the screenings on site. Next chance for this is coming up on Tuesday when they show “Let Music Play?” by artist Manuel Graf. The piece captures the impressive architecture of an Arabian colonnaded mosque while showing the limits of our signage system — all accompanied by our universal language, music. (Text: Laura Storfner / photo bottom: Manuel Graf)
