Indifferent and lacking are the words that come to mind when I think of restaurant service in Berlin except at very high-end ones; so when I was welcomed with so much attention and passion upon entering Katz Orange, it almost startled me. The restaurant opened just a few weeks back and possesses all the right qualities: great service, food, ambiance and even price. The kitchen, led by Tim Raue’s former sous chef, uses mostly regional organic produce to create his original delicacies. The beautiful building hidden in a courtyard is quite magical making it a perfect spot to bring a date or to dine and wine with a group of friends. BTW, the Beaujolais was fabulous and the french fries are the best in town.
