A REGAL LAST NIGHT OF MUSIC — THE STAATSKAPELLE AT THE SCHÖNHAUSEN HOUSE GARDEN

A REGAL LAST NIGHT OF MUSIC — THE STAATSKAPELLE AT THE SCHÖNHAUSEN HOUSE GARDEN

Editor’s note: due to inclement weather, the Staatskapelle Berlin concert has been moved indoors to the Staatsoper unter den Linden. The concert will begin at 20h and remains free of charge.

A classical concert in a baroque palace garden? The Staatskapelle Berlin could scarcely have chosen a more extravagant way to bring the concert season to a close. Awaiting you tonight (07.07.2022) at 19h is a two-hour slice of music escapism held in a historic garden setting. And here’s the best bit: it’s completely free of charge as part of the Kultursommerfestival. Works by musical pioneers Igor Stravinsky, Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel will be performed by top-class soloists like María Dueñas on violin and harpist Stephen Fitzpatrick with French conductor Alain Altinoglu directing. So grab your family and friends, a blanket, cushion or beanbag (but not folding chairs, stools and barbecues as these are not allowed!) and head to the Schönhausen House gardens in Pankow. There you’ll find first-class ambience in an oh-so-stately location.
