LUCKY TRIMMER’S BIRTHDAY BASH: AN EXTRAVAGANZA OF DANCE, ART AND PERFORMANCE

LUCKY TRIMMER’S BIRTHDAY BASH: AN EXTRAVAGANZA OF DANCE, ART AND PERFORMANCE

If you’re staying in Berlin over Easter and looking to be inspired and entertained, then join us at Lucky Trimmer’s birthday special for an evening of dance, performance and artistry. Founded as a platform for international and local dance artists of all genres, Lucky Trimmer has been delighting audiences with their short-format festivals for 15 years. Taking place on the 19/20.4.2019, the 27th edition sticks to the company’s bite-size format with a program of eight performances, each no longer than 10 minutes. The pieces, many of which will make their German debut, have been carefully selected for their novelty, ingenuity and originality. Piquing our interest in this diverse program are a Burton-esque bride, a duo’s modern take on tango, and a faun performing with its synchronized swimming nymphs. And if that’s not enough, Lucky Trimmer is kicking off celebrations today (18.04.2019) with a free open stage where you can vote for your favorite from 15 aspiring artists and give them to chance to perform at the main event. (Text: Lucy Thorpe / Photos: Lucky Trimmer, Santiago Barreiro & Joe Goergen)
