Studio Picknick is transforming its courtyard storage space into an additional gallery. On bustling Potsdamer Straße at U-Bahnhof Kurfürstenstraße, it will be a space for exhibitions and artistic dialogue. During Berlin Art Week, artist Malte Zenses will open the space with his series “Lips (women reading)” and a selection of new work and studies. His seemingly incidental paintings are studies, not of anatomy, but of fleeting moments and the artistic process, which usually aims for a state of completion — a goal which Zenses deliberately calls into question.
