MCM and Apartamento are combining their strengths this Saturday 27.04.2019 for the launch of the 23rd edition of the cult interiors magazine. MCM’s 1976 Berlin Storewill provide the setting for the issue launch of the Barcelona-based magazine, known for its charming features on extraordinary people and their homes. Even after 11 years, Apartamento’s three founders continue to adhere to their founding concept, immersing readers in authentic worlds again and again. Center-stage at the event is the “Charcoal” still life series, conceived by Omar Sosa and Ana Dominguez and photographed by Nacho Alegre. Housed in a former car repair shop, 1976 Berlin – the world’s first MCM Experience Store – features imposing displays of stone on long metal tables alongside colored carpet details, giving the space the look and feel of an art gallery. Quite appropriate on a weekend that has art high up the agenda.
