This weekend, New Yorker hosts and DJs Justin Carter & Eamon Harkin are bringing their biweekly loft party “Mister Saturday Night” from Brooklyn to Berlin for the first time. They see their parties differently from others; they try to give a space for social connection rather than just a showcase for top DJ talents or an excuse to do drugs. Of course music is very important, but even this they view as a conduit for the social interaction of dancing. All that is a very heady way of saying that they pick a location for their parties where the staff is nice, there’s a place to talk, catch up with or meet new friends, and a good dance floor (in this case, Loftus Hall in Neukölln). And then they, as DJs, play music that sets the scene for that interaction… They let things come naturally. We’re giving away 2 guest list spots (both with +1).
