A DAY IN NATURE WITH FORAGING, WORKSHOPS AND FINE DINING — WOODCUISINE FROM WOODBOOM

A DAY IN NATURE WITH FORAGING, WORKSHOPS AND FINE DINING — WOODCUISINE FROM WOODBOOM

Whether it’s birds tweeting or flowers blooming, the signs of spring are all around. If you’re like us and can’t wait to get outside again, here’s a date for your diary: the Woodcuisine day in nature on 23.04.2022. Organized by the friendly folks at Woodboom (who you may know for their solid wood dining tables) this one-day event is your chance to reacquaint yourself with nature while getting creative and learning some pretty useful skills. Hosted in an area of leafy woodland just outside Berlin (precise location tba), the day starts with a foraging tour by herb expert Victoria, who will show you how to spot spring leaves and flowers that you can use in your kitchen. Then you’ll regroup under the trees for informal workshops, turning the plants you’ve foraged into a take-home treat, creating solid wood chopping boards and making pasta by hand. The day culminates in an intimate multi-course dinner which chef Felipe will prepare from seasonal, partly foraged ingredients plus the tortellini and tagliatelle you’ve helped make (drinks are, of course, included). We joined a similar workshop-dinner combo last autumn and were super impressed with the hospitality from Woodboom founder Mischa and his team. You’ll end the day with a satisfied stomach, some new friends and a fresh appreciation for the natural world.
