There are thousands of shops in Berlin where you can get a sandwich – but I would say that 99% of them either suck or are boring. So I was more than thrilled when I first heard that the DJ and producer Paul Mogg and club owner Oskar Melzer were planning on opening up a spot serving typical NY deli food like the Reuben and the classic pastrami sandwich along with the Jewish matzah ball soup, a rarity in Berlin. They also serve fresh Caesar salad which is awesome. The place has been open for few months now, and I’ve been a regular ever since. Favorite spot: by the windows. Favorite dish: the Reuben.
