I’d love to tell tales on “Dirty Beaches” but actually I’ve just stumbled upon him now. The only thing I know for sure is that it’s Alex Zhang Hungtai who is behind this one man band project. He creates a kind of mysterious, melancholic, dark and rasp music. The kind of sound that’s different, but in a good way. I’m quite sure that witnessing Hungtai on stage will be somewhat of an experience too. It might turn out to be one of those nights where I slip out of the space-time continuum. And next week when Dirty Beaches comes on stage at West Germany, I shall find out more. Can’t wait!
