KW INSTITUTE: REOPENING WITH NEW ARTISTIC LINE-UP

Following a renovation period, esteemed contemporary art gallery KW Institute is back in business as of this weekend, celebrating its reopening with an all-new artistic program curated by Krist Gruijthuijsen. From Friday 20.01.2017 through Sunday, gallery visits are free of charge, opening with an exhibition by South African artist Ian Wilson and a corresponding installation by Hanne Lippard, with many more in the pipeline. Wilson, whose paintings focus on spoken language as an art form, has invited artists including Adam Pendleton, Paul Elliman, and Anthony McCall to use his work as inspiration and highlight the importance of his practices. The multifaceted program aims to explore the importance of conversation and exchange as political acts. (Text: Victoria Pease)
