OH SO SMOOTH: WHY TYLKO’S NEW SOFA LIVES UP TO ITS NAME

OH SO SMOOTH: WHY TYLKO’S NEW SOFA LIVES UP TO ITS NAME

Half of Berlin’s apartments are home to one of Tylko’s modular shelving systems. Whether it’s a sideboard, shoe rack or dressing table – their furniture fits snugly and affordably into every Altbau niche and prefab hallway. Everyone loves Tylko – and now, there might be another reason why. Because the Polish furniture brand is expanding its portfolio to include soft seating: introducing the Smooth Sofa, which is launching this week at the Klub Maison pop-up. It was designed in collaboration with industrial designer Krystian Kowalski, who is known for his clean lines and functional elegance. And it is – what else would you expect – modular, of course. True to Tylko’s signature approach, the Smooth Sofa can be fully configured online (it’s a Smooth Generator). For compact studios where full living landscapes are too much, there are standalone pieces. And when your home – or household – grows, Smooth grows with you: just add the modules you need. Choosing a couch is no small decision – the average Berliner doesn’t shop for a new one every few months. And the last thing you want is for this year’s color or fabric choice to feel outdated next year. To help you avoid the guesswork, Tylko invites you to try it out in person – by test-lounging, -stretching or -sprawling to your heart’s content. Head to Wedding and Klub Maison, which will transform into a walk-in comfort zone tomorrow (04.07.2025). And see for yourself what good design actually feels like. No pressure, no appointment – just plenty of chances to discover whether this might just be the last sofa you’ll ever need – in the best possible way.
