PERENNIAL MARKET AT THE BOTANICAL GARDEN

PERENNIAL MARKET AT THE BOTANICAL GARDEN

Shopping for flowers or buying shoes – to me, they are almost the same. As I stand in front of the beautiful blossoms, bouquets and pots, I can’t make up my mind. I want them all and turn my apartment into a blooming jungle, however cut flowers only make it into my place while they’re in season; everything else belongs in the garden or on the balcony. Well, planting time is here! Where to find the best perennials? I’ve been to every flower shop in Berlin, so trust me, I know: the perennial market at Botanischer Garten. They sell everything from herbs, healing plants, water plants and crop plants to rare tomatoes, seeds, bulbs and fruit trees. Don’t forget to follow the most important rule, finding one that truly matches your environment: sun, half-shadow or shadow. (Text: Milena Kalojanov)
