OUR PODCAST TIPS FOR 2021— THREE SHOWS FOR CAREER GUIDANCE AND FEMALE LEADERSHIP

For our third collection of podcast tips, we’re starting with the dead – specifically the departed dames that feature in Berlin-based The Dead Ladies Show. Each episode of this monthly radio show invites two guests to present an influential woman from the past, diving into their personalities, lives and achievements. The talents are diverse, from successful athletes and ancient mathematicians to rock’n’roll pioneer Sister Rosetta Tharpe. And though the stories of these women have been around for a while, they remain instructive and inspiring. Next up is To My Sisters, a podcast hosted by engaging and charming Londoners Courtney and Renee that is packed with wisdom and warmth. The twice-weekly episodes provide insight into the professional and personal lives of two women who have made it their goal to inspire women in business.

Always with a touch of humor, the pair discuss topics such as the realities of being an entrepreneur, following your passion and building a legacy. Besides business, the episodes also touch on topics like childhood trauma, patriarchy and activism, offering thought-provoking insights and practical advice. Last up is a local podcast still fresh from its launch in February 2021: WAA (Women Authors of Achievement). For each 45-minute episode, host and filmmaker Daria Suvorova is joined by key female figures from Berlin’s business world. As you listen to their career successes and struggles, you can feel your own business ambitions and dreams awaken.
