POTSE 68: A NEW CHAPTER FOR THE CIRCLE CULTURE GALLERY

Twelve years have already passed since Circle Culture first opened as a small project space on Gipsstrasse in Mitte. It quickly became one of the leading galleries in Berlin for urban art. They will start a new chapter tomorrow, with the opening of their second space on Potsdamer Strasse, Berlin’s new gallery row. It certainly feels like the right step for them to take after their cozy Altbau charm; the new loft space is huge, slick and clean. Their first exhibition Potse 68 starting this weekend is a group show with 23 artists, introducing ten newly added talents to their existing program. It’s probably going to be super packed on the opening night, so if you don’t want to be rubbing shoulders in a gallery, I recommend waiting a bit and stopping by on Saturday. (Text: Sven Hausherr)
