INTERNATIONAL BRUNCH AT SCHUCHMANNS BY THE CANAL

INTERNATIONAL BRUNCH AT SCHUCHMANNS BY THE CANAL

Weekend? Sunshine? Brunch? Off we go to Schuchmanns, where delicious homemade dishes for every palate await us. Located next to Paul-Linke-Ufer, their perfect terrace is so inviting that you will happily sit there bundled up in chilly November. Of course you may opt to play it safe and sit inside. Food is the main attraction here after all. Their hearty bagel choices are a good start; I recommend the smoked salmon “Bär” bagel with yummy homemade carrot spread. Müsli with fresh fruits is a staple for the health conscious, but really there is no way around it – you must try their pancakes! You’ll be all set for the weekend after eating the fluffy American pancakes drizzled with maple syrup and topped with banana slices and walnuts (you’ll never guess that they’re vegan). I wrap it up with a glass of cortado coffee; what an international brunch experience. Schuchmanns also serves lunch and dinner, and testing their Thursday prix fixe dinner is still on the Cee Cee agenda. Perhaps you’ll make it there before we do? (Text: Nina Trippel)
