You can have a mediocre cup of hot coffee with bubbly foamed milk, or you can have a well-shot espresso topped with velvety smooth milk froth forming beautiful latte art. Whenever possible, I go for the latter at Röststätte. The first sip is never a mouthful of airy tasteless milk foam, but a silky mouthfeel of perfectly combined milk and espresso that always help brighten my day. Röststätte serves some of Mitte’s best coffee, roasted by hand, and sell some of the nicest looking shiny espresso machines in the combined store/café on Ackerstrasse.
