SAUVAGE – PALEOLITHIC CUISINE

SAUVAGE – PALEOLITHIC CUISINE

The Paleolithic age started about 2.6 million years ago and was the time when our great ancestors still lived in caves. But you don’t need to worry about bone-picking now – the charming little restaurant near Maybachufer serves only civilized food. The idea is based on a gluten free, low carb cuisine featuring loads of nuts, seeds and herbs. Their small menu offers a variation of starters such as the grain-free crisp bread with arugula pesto dip and great salad choices. The daily menu offers three main dishes and desserts, which reveal the Oriental/French influences of the Persian/Belgian chefs. However, there are international classics too, like Chili con Carne (à la Sauvage). The food is super fresh, healthy and tasty and comes with surprising ingredients and combinations such as the strawberry reduction next to a champignon burger. Unfortunately it’s a bit pricey but 100% organic.
