How often have you caught sight of your favourite band’s poster plastered on a city wall, only to see they played a month ago? Or saved a Facebook event before missing out on tickets — again? Here to prevent future disappointment over sold out shows and sets passed by is Schmutz, a new guide for live music in Berlin. Currently taking the form of a listing platform, the venture encompasses a diversity of genres, from RnB to black metal, whilst remaining artfully curated. It’s also pleasure to navigate, with streamlined design, a venue map and an accompanying Soundcloud playlist of monthly mixes. There are plans in store for the platform to move offline, too — we hear murmurs of a launch party this month, plus DJ sets and artist collaborations.
