There are three designers behind the name Supergrau: Bjoern Berger, Denis Cegielski and Tobias Welzel. They met in 2010 in the city of Solingen to jointly create furniture and objects for a contemporary home. In addition to form and function, Supergrau’s intention is to create sustainable products by using long-lasting materials. There’s a touch of humor to their products as well; their “Hochstuhl” (high chair) is meant to serve as an inspiration by thinking out of the box, or as we say in German “looking over the edge of a plate”. Since the end of June they also have their own shop in Mitte, located on Gartenstrasse right off Torstrasse, where you can take a closer look at the trio’s oeuvre.
