In normal times, restaurateur Jonathan Kartenberg is responsible for two kitchens: Irma la Douce on Potsdamer Straße and the stylish Neukölln Eins44. But with restaurants closed, the 28-year-old has used the break to set up The Good Taste, a “virtual pantry” delivering products from select Berlin fine-dining restaurants and regional producers. The selection is impressive: there’s the brilliantly intense bouillabaisse stew from Irma La Douce which immediately transports you to the harbor promenade of Marseille. Or, for more tropical tastes, there’s the mango-coconut jam from Bob & Thoms. Other specialties include preserved golden beetroot from Charlottenburg restaurant Lubitsch and a versatile vegetable salt from the brewers at Brlo. Meanwhile, Eins44 restaurant is offering preserved pears and a kale gremolata, while for drinks the team at gastro venue The Noname have created a ready-to-enjoy dirty martini. Over the coming weeks even more treats from the leading lights of Berlin’s restaurant scene will be added. We can’t wait!
Valentine’s Day special: choose from one of three multi-course meals for you and your favorite person, with drinks courtesy of the Bonvivant drinks box that includes the Valentine’s Spritz – a mixture of grapefruit, orange, Sekt, Chartreuse and St. Germain. Order by 20h tonight (11.02).
