Is your wardrobe in need of some new looks? Living room ready for a spring refresh? Then here’s a tip for the weekend: The Nightmarket, a two-day fashion and design market at Nåpoleon Komplex in Friedrichshain (23 & 24.04.2022). Fifty designers, curators and vendors will be setting up stalls for the special event, which, as the name suggests, is an all-day affair: ’til midnight on Saturday and 20h on Sunday. Many of the brands are based in Berlin, including Hny Hany, whose silk scarves are as versatile as they are creative, and Cotta Vintage, whose second hand selection features fabulous florals and frills. You’ll also find pre-loved staples from You had me at Vintage and 80s/90s eyewear styles from Dress your Mind. As for interior goods, fans of Miami pastel and macramé will feel right at home at Maison Malou’s stand. The design seller’s wacky, windy candles make a tongue-in-cheek addition to your mantle or bedside table.
You’ll want to take your time working your way round the cavernous hall of Nåpoleon Komplex, but there’s no hurry: besides shopping, there’s lots of other fun stuff to keep you entertained all day (and night). You’ll find a huge variety of street food, drinks and live bands plus an open air party with DJ sets including Afrofuturist cuts from Floyd Lavine and beats from Arno/Einzelkind and Ksenia Kuderyavets. Assemble your favorite folks, bring your biggest shopping bag and spend the day snapping up goodies and catching up with cocktails.
