November is notorious for wind, darkness, and goosebumps. Misty tea ceremonies, stormy exhibitions, feverish stages, and all the other places where ghosts may be hiding — here come CC’s Calendar Tips. The first drama looms this Thursday (30.10.2025) when Constanza Macras presents the world premiere of Goodbye Berlin at the Volksbühne — a dance between ecstasy and apocalypse, between Weimar and now. Those familiar with Macras know what to expect: loud, wild, and a little eerie. And since premiere tickets are already sold out, you might catch a show next week (03. and 06.11). Equally haunting and as well-crafted as a Hitchcock, Vogelschlag opens on Friday (31.10.) at Spoiler Zone: a group exhibition featuring works by Clara-Lilian Berger, Ester Gasparová, Tereza Nováková, and many more. Less mysterious but no less enticing, on Friday and Saturday (31.10.–01.11.), Bless invites you to their studio in Gesundbrunnen. Expect rare pieces and archival treasures from past collections — not quite Halloween costumes, but just as captivating. Fittingly, at Galerie Die Möglichkeit einer Insel, the exhibition Industrial Witchcraft is currently on display, featuring contributions from Bless. A bewitched fanzine accompanies the project, complete with a limited-edition extra sheet titled Informierender Euro — available both at the studio and in the gallery. Also on the list is a little haunting at the Foldt Showroom. John from Sincerely Coffee will be behind the La Marzocco Linea Mini on Saturday (01.11.), brewing up espresso — delicious and free of charge.
Those who arrive early enough (perhaps by broomstick) might snag one of Lucia Bachner’s delicate porcelain cups. And once all the sweets have found their way into drawers and bellies, there’s room for more treats. On Saturday (01.11.), head to Torstraße 62 for the Optimistic Runners Sample Sale, where rare one-offs and archive pieces from past collections await for one day only. And for anyone craving a little more ritual after all that commuting and glass-turning, The Feuerle Collection invites you to two special tea ceremonies led by Lin Wang. At the Full Moon Tea Gathering on Friday (05.11.), three hand-selected teas from the Feuerle Collection will be brewed, each accompanied by a small handmade sweet. You can also take a seat by the steaming kettles (or cups) on Saturday (06.11.). Welcome November, if you dare.
