TUULA — ORGANIC, HANDMADE SOAPS FROM BRANDENBURG

I’m in love with the scent of “Klara Kopf”. A whiff of the little, greenish soap from Tuula brings back a bit of summer with its hints of rosemary, mint and notes of juniper and bay leaf. Conceived as a shampoo soap, it is handmade in Brandenburg using the traditional cold saponification technique. It’s the tiniest travel toiletry possible — but it’s powerful! The makers of Tuula claim that by adding plant compounds, fruit extracts and essential oils such as olive, avocado, jojoba, and grape seed oil just at the end they ensure an intense and effective product. While “Klara Kopf” is suited for short hairstyles, it performs perfectly as a hand soap or body wash too. Once snatched from their package, her fellow soaps, such as the marbled mint one, make for a lovely eye-catcher on your sink (remember the 90s?). The best part: it’s almost completely organic and makes a lovely little handy treat or present for almost anyone for a small price!Available in select stores or online. (Text & Photos: Nina Trippel)
