The “Cut&Paste” design contest was founded in 2006 in New York and will be taking place tonight in Berlin. There are three categories: 2D, 3D and Motion Design. The contestants will compete against each other on illustrating a given topic within a given short period – the workflow is projected onto a large screen for the audience to witness; the 3D and motion designers have a little more time to work. In any case, that’s a lot of pressure for the designers and excitement for the spectators. Follow this link for a video of past presentations. Doors open at 19h and after the event there’s a party with Notic Nastic performing live.
