You love coffee? Well, we love coffee, too. That’s no secret, I know – we write and post about it all the time. We even run our own Cee Cee Cafe. So when Philipp Reichel, founder of Vote Coffee and Kaffee Neun (and previously involved in the former Coffee Festival) approached us to ask if we’d be up for joining a new kind of coffee event, naturally we were hooked. So here we are now, one year later and made it: the Coffee Week Berlin is about to start. The idea: giving the exciting Berlin specialty coffee scene a new platform to get together, to share and exchange knowledge, create visibility and of course to simply share the love for coffee with you. So whether you’re simply enjoying your home brewing and all things from filter to latte art or you’re an expert leading the way to the perfect tastes and techniques, this event is for you. For this year’s premiere we’ve compiled an inspiring program happening across town at all those locations that make the caffeine magic happen: cafes and roasteries. Among the line-up is – first things first: the opening event! Your chance to pop by the Cee Cee Cafe if you haven’t made it yet. There’ll be drinks, music and good vibes.
After mingling with other caffeine enthusiasts, you’re invited to get serious about the essentials of every brew: join the talk on bean import at Flying Roasters. If you’re then ready to improve your skills, the “How to make the perfect espresso” lesson with the experts from La Marzocco is for you (thank you to La Marzocco and Oatly on this note – who are our partners for this very first edition!). And if you’d like to watch the real pros doing their magic: the German Aeropress Championship is happening at the Five Elephant Roastery. We hope you’re ready for some input from beans to brews and tastes to techniques.
