Hoodies: most of us have at least one in our wardrobe. For me they offer the perfect mix of comfort and practicality. Breathing new life into this classic garment is the task of fashion students at the Universität der Künste Berlin. In collaboration with Kreuzberg fashion retailer Voo Store, the aspiring designers have created a collection that showcases their experiments in redefining this wardrobe staple. The pieces will be presented at the launch event tonight (28.10.2021) at the Kreuzberg shop and will be available for a limited time in-store and online. To celebrate the launch you can also take a tour of the UdK buildings as part of the legendary Rundgang (29.–31.10). Normally held in summer, the event was pushed back on account of the pandemic, meaning now is your chance to get a glimpse at the work of the institution’s art and design students. For the first time, the tour will also be accompanied by an online platform that lets you explore students’ work created during the covid-induced online semesters.
