THE TRUE BERLIN COFFEE TABLE BOOK

There are thousands of coffee table books out there, but there is only one that truly conveys the contemporary Berlin zeitgeist; Freunde von Freunden Berlin book. Freunde von Freunden started in 2009 with a small team, portraying friends and friends of friends in their private apartments, giving an exclusive look into Berlin lifestyle. Two years later they released the first printed version with a neat selection from their online archives plus some “print only” extras. It comes as a thick and heavy coffee table book published by Distanz Verlag Berlin. You can order it online at FvF or purchase at most book stores. For french cuisine lovers, there’s a new kid in town; the owners of the restaurant “Bandol sur Mer” got hold of the formal Asian restaurant next door and opened up the bistro “3 Minutes sur Mer” last week. Nicely decorated with formal DDR government interior, they turned the once shabby place into a new destination on Torstrasse. Try their perfect “Coq au Vin” for lunch to warm yourself up or start the night with a cosy candlelit dinner with your date.
