Classical music and contemporary electronic sounds meet on stage on November 21st as a part of the new series “Um:Laut” at Radialsystem V. One of the premiere’s guests is Dustin O’Halloran; I came across his instrumental compositions through the amazing soundtrack of the (not so amazing) movie “Marie Antoinette”. Next Monday O’Halloran will merge his piano performance with Adam Wiltzies’ electronic sounds – together they’re called “A Winged Vicotry for the Sullen“. They will be joined by a string trio on stage and what you’ll experience overall is chamber music meets minimal and new folk. The second guest on stage is a 29 year old Berlin-based pianist Nils Frahm, who has just released his new album “Felt”. To me, both offer a unique, poetic, unobtrusive and soothing soundscape; they’ve become new additions to my music library, something that I had been searching for for a long time. For those of you who are interested in this genre of music, we have good news: we’re giving away one CD from each artist/group (both from label Erased Tapes). Send us an email by the end of today to mail@ceecee.cc with a subject “music” and a short explanation as to why you’re in need for musical inputs.
