The Uckermark: idyllic hilly landscapes and fields filled with wild corn poppies of rich red. But the views are not the only reason to escape to the country: there’s also the peace, slowness and general feeling of escape. Melani Wehrli is one of these city-country pilgrims, spending her summers in Gerswalde village in Brandenburg. Melanie studied fashion design in Melbourne and founded her own swimwear label before moving to Berlin in 2015. Here her focus shifted from fashion to nutrition, yoga and holistic bodywork. Now she wants to share her relationship with nature and the Uckermark in the form of a retreat. The aim? Getting out of the city for a dive deep into nature with community vibes. Intended for couples, friends and lovers (or any two people), the Now Us Retreat (01–04.06.2023) is a four-day program of workshops, meditation, yoga and countryside relaxation.

Since the focus is on togetherness and community, Melanie will be joined by other practitioners: Freddie, founder of Peace of Mind Studios, will take care of the morning yoga classes and Klaudia, a Kundalini teacher, will introduce participants to meditation and breathing exercises. Physical wellbeing is provided for in the form of regional vegetarian cuisine courtesy of Dea K. Štrucl and Melanie Wehrli. Space is limited to 14 to ensure an intimate atmosphere and accommodation is in twin rooms in a country house.
