Mitte is becoming more and more dangerous for me, since it’s getting crowded with irresistible stores like this one: Aesop. This Australian company is one of my favorite beauty brands and they opened their first German flagship store this week. Staying true to their store concept worldwide, this location too was created by a local design studio who happens to be our friends. The Berlin-based Weiss-Heiten have done an amazing job; melting together inspirations from monochrome paintings by Gerhard Richter to the German forest together with Berlin’s typical old-meets-new style and Aesop’s minimalist apothecary charm. Green is not only the predominant color of the store interior but inside their brown bottles too: sage and parsley seeds boost your skin and hair with plant power along with other cosmetic ingredients.
