Summer academy? Well, the weather’s been pretty lame lately so we might as well sit in a “classroom” and learn something, right? And not just anything, but about art. The Autocenter Summer Academy will be offering various lectures and tours with artists and art experts throughout the month of July. I’ve marked my calendar for next week. Alexander Cigal will be present, and art expert and publisher Uta Grosenick will hold a lecture on July 10! Norwegian-born artist Yngve Holen will be the “teacher” in the following week. I would be happy to learn more from this Städel School graduate whose installations are very catchy and contemporary, dealing with topics such as digital revolution and water crisis at the same time.
