CHRISTIANE KREISEL-BÜSTGENS RECOMMENDS: DU BONHEUR

CHRISTIANE KREISEL-BÜSTGENS RECOMMENDS: DU BONHEUR

At the end of the slight ascent on Brunnenstrasse, you’ll find café/bistro “Du Bonheur” to your right. This small gem of culinary craftsmanship is run by Stephan Zuber and Anna Plagens; Zuber a former chef at Uma and Plagens a pâtissier trained by famous French masters. Together they serve amazing delicacies: incredibly yummy homemade croissants, lovingly arranged mille-feuille pastry, little cakes with a hint of salty caramel, and not to mention the perfectly shaped and melt-in-your-mouth macarons in all shades and flavors. The menu is completed by different quiches, tartines and spicy soups. The café has high ceilings with a pleasantly simple decor and an option to sit outside on sunny days.
