COUDRE: LOVINGLY-CRAFTED FUNDAMENTALS FOR HOME AND BODY

COUDRE: LOVINGLY-CRAFTED FUNDAMENTALS FOR HOME AND BODY

It is fitting that Coudre puts great importance on how their home and fashion objects are crafted. Their own name means “to sew” in French, and the elegant, modest menswear that this Berlin label started out with in 2016 is all about material quality and craftsmanship. Since then the brand, which Dimitri Moustakidis and Daniel Diederich started after several years in the fashion business, has been branching out. In addition to their trademark simple cut-and-sewn T-shirts and fine cotton sweaters, the pair have created a range of hand-poured candles in a dizzying array of scents, from coconut and verbena to coriander and lime – all made locally in Prenzlauer Berg. The sensory delights continue with the handmade scented soaps (try the black geranium, clove and patchouli) and a new range of organic teas. As you settle down under one of Coudre’s brushed woolen throws with a spice and nana mint infusion as a candle glows beside you, home seems like just the place to be.
