DANIEL MEYER RECOMMENDS: BEARDY BOYS

DANIEL MEYER RECOMMENDS: BEARDY BOYS

As soon as you enter their shop in Prenzlauer Berg, it’s clear that design and aesthetics play an important role in the lives of the owners and creators of this shop. Being promptly seated on an old, perfectly placed vintage stool, I was further welcomed by an alcoholic drink. It was just past 2PM and I knew that I wasn’t meant to be drinking before 3PM, but within Beardy Boys, rules like that seemed irrelevant. Then, Markus went about his work. He freed me of 2kg of hair, in what would be the best haircut of my life. With the finishing touch of some self-made pomade adorning my freshly trimmed head, I looked and felt great. Stopping by at Sylvio, Markus and David’s place means that men can be overgrown boys. The aesthetics are not limited to the clothing of the barbers and the interior of the store, but are also reflected in the precision of the haircuts. I can finally, after a long time spent wandering the Berlin streets, say that I have found a trustworthy hairdresser in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg. (Text & photo: Daniel Meyer)
