CULTURE UNTIL THE EARLY HOURS — LONG NIGHT OF THE MUSEUMS THIS SATURDAY

CULTURE UNTIL THE EARLY HOURS — LONG NIGHT OF THE MUSEUMS THIS SATURDAY

Berlin’s summer cultural program is in full swing and with it comes the return of the popular Long Night of the Museums. This Saturday (27.08.2022), a total of 70 museums will be working the night shift and opening their doors until the early hours of the morning. 15 of the participating cultural institutions are joining the event for the first time or returning after a long hiatus, including Hamburger Bahnhof, the Neue Nationalgalerie, the Humboldtforum and the Haus der Kulturen der Welt. If you’re ready for a memorable evening, let us share some highlights: take a trip into the future at the Futurium or back to Wall-era East Berlin with the virtual reality goggles at TimeRide Berlin. Listen to soul and jazz sounds in front of C/O Berlin from 20h, or take on a sporting challenge at the Bröhan Museum with outdoor athletics as part of the exhibition “Otl Aicher and the 1972 Olympic Games”.

Dazzling light installations await you in Germany’s first U-Bahn tunnel, the mystically illuminated Berliner Unterwelten, while things are set to get magical at the Museum of Communication with card tricks and street style magic by illusionist Tobias Dostal. The program seems endless and one night is far too short to discover everything, so luckily the BVG app Jelbi is there to help you get around. With your ticket you’ll receive a €10 voucher valid for a month for use on buses, trains, scooters, bikes, car sharing and cabs. With so many places to see, why not take a look at the program now and plan your own Long Night?
