The name “International Wardrobe” suggests that this newly opened boutique offers clothing that adapts itself to any place worldwide. It is a project by Katharina Koppenwallner, who travels the world and finds unique and striking textiles, often made using archaic techniques. We’re talking about one-of-a-kind, hand-made pieces from remote places we may never visit: from Transylvania to Vietnam. She re-sells them in order to share these treasures with the world, with the history behind each and every piece along with the stories of the people who makes them. The store currently offers jackets and pillows from Kalotaszeg, a region in northern Transylvania, inhabited by Hungarians. As well, there are dresses by the Hmong people and Ikat silk scarves from Cambodia. Visit the shop and travel the world through fashion.
