DUMPLINGS UND NUDELN TO GO: HAN WESTS POP–UP IN KREUZBERG — EMPFOHLEN VON CLAUDIA KATZMARSKI

DUMPLINGS UND NUDELN TO GO: HAN WESTS POP–UP IN KREUZBERG — EMPFOHLEN VON CLAUDIA KATZMARSKI

Let us help you through the cold gray weather with a steaming portion of Sichuan noodles. An offshoot of Neukölln’s Han West – aka “the home of dumplings” – a new noodle pop-up on Görlitzer Straße is now bringing handmade noodles and yummie dumpling creations to the streets of Kreuzberg. Creative fillings and toppings like Thai chicken & herbs and Sichuan garlic aubergine will delight any lover of Asian cuisine, and there are many vegan options, too. The sister Imbiss in Schillerkiez, which opened in 2019, is well known for its modern take on Chinese street food and is a must stop on the way to Tempfelhofer Feld. Founders Valentin and Rui once spent the summer serving their delicious dumplings at nearby festivals, and while these gatherings seem like a distant memory, you can still enjoy their creations in the outdoors: grab a beanie and gloves and take a seat on a bench opposite Görlitzer Park. All dishes from the Han West pop-up are served in biodegradable packaging so you can enjoy them sustainably. (Text: Claudia Katzmarski / Photos: Han West & Max Power)

A lover of travel, vegan cakes and swing dance, Claudia Katzmarski calls Neukölln her home.
