SPILLING THE TEA: CONTEMPORARY TEA LABEL EDUARD/ LAUNCHES ITS FIRST COLLECTION

I still remember the first evening I met Eduardo Molina. Perhaps it was because his radiant smile cut through the gloom of a dark winter’s day. What struck me most was his deep knowledge of tea pairings during dinner, and the way he responded to each guest’s questions with such enthusiasm and attentiveness. Drawing on decades of experience as a tea sommelier, Eduardo launched his own tea label, Eduard/, in early January 2026. His passion for tea is rooted in his childhood in Chile and has continued to evolve through extensive travels to tea-growing regions. Through collaborations with global producers — including his time as Head of Tea for leading international brands — a desire emerged to make the stories and flavours he encountered accessible to others. Eduardo’s vision is for tea lovers and curious newcomers alike. For those who consider tea an everyday companion, as well as anyone who has yet to truly explore the rich world behind it. With his concept, he aims to bridge traditional craftsmanship and contemporary lifestyles. The hand-selected teas represent the highest quality and close relationships with producers. Insights into origins, distinctive characteristics, and the unique stories behind each variety ensure you know exactly what ends up in your cup.

Four times a year, a new collection is released, each sourced from unique tea-growing regions. All varieties are obtained directly from the producers and come exclusively from gardens Eduardo has personally visited. With Eduard/Himalaya, he shares the story of his journey through the Eastern Himalayas, while simultaneously marking the beginning of his own. The collection features five hand-selected teas from Nepal, Darjeeling, and Sikkim, reflecting the aromatic diversity of the region. “Silver Needle Full Moon”, for example, introduces a fresh-tasting white tea made from delicate buds harvested only during a full moon. “Himalaya Spring” captures the first harvest after winter with bright, floral notes. The colours of the packaging offer guidance on flavour intensity and suggest the ideal tasting order. From mid-January onwards, the teas will also be available individually. Though to truly experience Eduard/ and the journey behind it, sampling the full set is well worth it. Until 14 January, an early-bird offer is available for the first collection — the perfect excuse to skip your next wine tasting and dive into the world of tea instead. And what could feel better than starting the new year with new flavours and fresh interests?
