The legendary Spanish fashion designer Cristóbal Balenciaga had a close relationship to the world of cinema and collaborated with numerous filmmakers throughout his career. Displayed outside of Spain for the very first time, “Cristóbal Balenciaga und der Film” illustrating the couturier’s costume works with 60 large-scale photographs are installed now at the Spanish Embassy in Berlin! Images with dresses for famous actresses such as Ava Gardner, Romy Schneider and Ingrid Bergman complete the selection curated by Pedro Usabiaga. After viewing the show take advantage of this week’s unusually beautiful weather and go for a stroll through the Tiergarten, as the Embassy’s grand building is next to the park. (Text: Nina Trippel)
