PHOTOGRAPHY IN FILM — DREAMY OPEN-AIR SCREENINGS IN MITTE

Photography meets film. The perfect reason to spend an evening out under the stars. In partnership with the European Month of Photography, the Museums Journal magazine is hosting an open-air film series giving culture lovers what their hearts’ desire. Every Wednesday from July to August, the garden of the Podewil Baroque palace will transform into a dreamy open-air setting for the presentation of nine works that address the topic of photography in film, such as “The Salt of the Eart” about photographer Sebastião Salgado by filmmaker Wim Wenders, the documentary “Finding Vivian Maier”, or Marianne Kampfer’s film about Hills and Bernd Becher. (Text: Lisa Staub / Werks: Vivian Maier/John Maloof and Charlie Siskel, Sebastião Salgado/Wim Wenders / Photo of Podewil garden: Christoph Tempel)
